Day 1

This is Hidayah's and my room :)
yup she is my roomate :)

Everyone; meet my roomate; this is heeedayah rahima! n thats her ukulele! haha

so the first day; we reached Cheng Du international airport on schedule at around 6.40am. During flight i did not get served anything coz i am a veggie head. they did offer me bread n fruits but i just decided to slp instead. They did give these nuts which was quite delicious coz of the different mixture of spices n all. 

I was sitting all the way to the back at row 28J :(

all alone wen all my friends were at the front!

so half way thru the flight; i changed w daniel (mechatronic student) n i sat w the guys.

we played monopoly deal (quite hard coz not much space on the a/c) 

at arnd 5plus we went to slp.

we cam-whored like crazy w KJ's DSLR.

Look at us! This is at the Chengdu International Airport at 7am in the morn of sept 14! 

Lunch time... omg! ok i am not going to be rude but OMG their food here is soooooo salty!

sure by the end of 5weeks i w get hypertension! OMG

yeah we were treated to a special lunch today. 

if only everyday our food was like this; i sure lose weight!

lol

Day 2

we tried halal food today. it was damn shiok! 

i had this new spaggetti like noodle with eggs n veggies

the sauce was a little bit salty but damn nice

n their portion size is soooo big!!!!

the people running the shop r all muslims n they all dont look like typical chinese people

Aloysius was telling me they might be those who r of mixed race (like Mongolian + chinese)

i got a video of hidaya acting like a maid n cleaning our room (thanks to all those stupid cockroaches!) but the internet here is soooooo bloody slow that i cannot upload!!!

there is this girl who came to our room n brought us out to walk arnd the school! it was ok.. just tat a lot of ppl kept staring at us.

we decided to try the bubble tea here.

the bubble tea is just too much milk n too little syrup

their pearl is nice tho :) but i shall just wait till i come bac singapore to drink peppermint milk tea ;)

one guy bought us some snack food, offered to pay for our bubble tea n all

omg i was so scared at first but susan (the student leader whom we named susan coz her chi name too hard)said they just find us so different n they r fascinated by us thats all .. n not to worry. LOL

Day 3

the one sitting down is my teacher Mr nick tan. we did a jump shot infront of their school main entrance.

Mr nick told us that the china people say "woa the singaporeans all come here n dance dance; u c the chinese all not active like ur kids"

LOL we were actually just doing jumpshots! haha

than chang ze hao kept shouting "ying du ren! ying du ren!" and pointing at me

so people who were alr not staring at me; started staring at me.. on top of which we were jumping around! haha

ze hao made me this deal

if i wen to 3 people n said
"Ni Hao, wo shi ying du ren, wo ke yi gen ni pai zhao ?"

than he would run w me any time any day anything thing

but i very paiseh so i only apporached 1 person.

one young chinese student. she was nice n took picture w me

ze hao video-ed the whole thing!

but once more the internet too slow so i lazy upload!

stupid internet!

tat eve we went running at the school track

it was really a bad experience

not only was it hazy (i think the people burn their rubbish so the smell actually stings the back of the throat!)

everyone (mostly guys... the girls here dont really seem to be active) was like staring at me

n it was super duper dark!

how come they don have stadium lights.. i asked one of the student leaders (we named her susan coz her chi name too hard to catch)...

she said it was just renovated so maybe they havent install yet

but they have artificial turf grass n all so quite modern!

but i don think i will be running here again for the next 5 weeks.... 

 Day 4

in the morn we did our first laundry, the student leader met us at 8.10am n she brought us to the service at the other end of the hostel.. abt 5mins walk away.

i was kinda scared to pass my clothes coz i scared they steal my clothes or my socks don come back as a pair

but it was alright and it came back fine.  :)

4RMB for a pail of clothes.

one pail has abt 7clothes in it.

wen we took our clothes during lunch time today, everything was there but it was not super dry

it is just "spin dry" so we come back must still hang in our room to dry

so far the dri-fit shirts r the best!

they dry within a day

 oh n one more thing that i find it sooo surprising here!

they r sooooo forthcoming

till today i have had 3 ppl come up n ask for phone number

they wanna make fren n practice their eng

but the prob is 

I don know how to speak CHINESE! lol

"wo ke yi jiang hua yu yi tian yi tian" only! haha

so i just gave kye jie number :P

lol already got one gal keep spamming him smses..!! haha he got suitor liao! LOL

but really they r soooo daring!

i wld nvr do this in singapore.. even if i have nvr seen such a person (like maybe a blue color person!)

actually come to think of it.. i wld be more freaked! LOL

Day 5

today nth much happened other than my room got short circuit coz we tried to boil water n the whole thing just "PUP!"

than Lee Lao Shi (the china lecturer who takes care of us singaporean students.. she can speak eng! yay!)

told that the multiplug short circuit n we shld not boil water in our room will kenna fine 100RMB! lol

than how we drink milo?!?!

i need my milo everyday morn!! n sometimes night also le!!
the water dispenser water also not hot enuf! :(

oh n we r supposed to put up a cultural thingy for the chinese ppl. so we have decided to sing our national day songs such as:

Rasang Saya

Munerru Valiba

ok 2mr we going see pandas n visit chengdu

sunday is free day but at night got something

i am very excited for the mooncake festival!!

xu en (one of the 4 girls who came to china) says that they will have the kong ming lantern

after they write wishes they release it.

so cool right!!! i hope we get to do this too!!! haha
