Last day in CHINA!

we had IS presentation in the morn!

we presented on:

PANDAS!

(their behavior, their diet, the conservation efforts and panda reproduction)

after tat wen bac 2 pack food up to our dorm

our last fattening lunch!

our food is always either too oily or too salty!

our room on the last day!

anyways this was one awesome journey i took, with my wonderful, fun-loving friends

it was full of tears of joy and tears of sadness

it was full of too much playing and too little studying

it was full of life!

i will miss Sichuan

especially the people who made this trip a memorable one!

though it took some time to adapt to,
i am glad i made this decision to spend my holidays in China

it was an enriching experience!

Mr nick knocked on our door at 7.15 to inform us tat we would be shopping afterall!

we went to Tom's Hometown to shop!

His city has been awarded the cleanest city in the whole of china!

WOW!

his city is very clean (for china's standards)!

 our mode of transport?! 

A TRAIN!

their train station is like our changi airport!

it was rebuilt coz during the Sichuan Earthquake, the building was destroyed

just for laughs!

anyways our last train was scheduled to be at 5.30pm

so we left our shopping place at arnd 4.20pm

it was supposed to be like a 20mins bus jounery

BUT THERE WAS A PROTEST/RIOT blocking the way!

omg i was soo bloody scared!

Japanese cars were flipped over

and as we walked down futther, we could see the crowd getting rdy to flip other japanese cars over

omg i was so scared thr might be an explosion or sumthing!!

damn super scary but an invaluable experience!

n we had 2 take the train!

n we had to walk for like at least 2km!

n rahima's leg was swollen n she cld not walk

so darrick, zh, farhan and jeremy took turns to piggy back her!

so sweet of them right!

my frens r such great gentlemen!

we went to earthquake zone today

our whole mornin was spent thr

it is a very sad place,
there r no roofs and many collapsed buildings
over 300 workers died during the Sichuan Earthquake
it is very disheartening to go to such places
its totally like a ghost town
kinda reminds me of the Chernobyl accident

aft tat the sch bus dropped us off at our sch

we taxi-ed to guanghan!

the girls decided 2 do manicure (after a Dico's Lunch)

(Dico's is china's version of fast food)

(yup even KJ and Zh did it!)

his one is damn ugly tho!

even tho ZH bites his nails, he ended up doing a beetle/strawberry on his thumb!

and since my nails r so short (i would end up biting them anyways)

i didnt wanna waste money doing manicure

so i wen for a massage instead w alloy, kj, zh

aft tat we went for a karoke session!!

it was damn fun

but i was super tired!

2mr we r supposed 2 go to Chengdu to do shopping

but becoz thr is some riot/protest going on, we cant go!

we r all super duper disappointed!

y do they have to riot on the very same weekend that we were meant to go shoppin!??!?!?!

its currently 2am on a saturday morn! :)

anyways i did a doggie collage of all the dogs i have taken pics with (it was XuEn's Idea~!)

We graduated today! :) :)

we even got our own folder like cert

it says:

"this is to certify that (my name) has completed a course of study in Chinese Traditional Culture and Etiquette from 14 Sep to 18 Oct 2010 at Sichuan Aerospace Polytechnic, China"

wow i was super damn touched that they did this for us!

i know it seems stupid 2 get so excited over a simple dish like broccoli but it makes me appreciate Singapore so much more now!

YES ITS  super dirty here but i think i can stay longer..

Day 30

Last IS LESSON!

Lee Lao Shi taught us 2day!

i learnt that chopsticks r used for every single dish except for soup-drinking

i learnt that there r many homesick poems in chinese

n after lesson XuEn n i n rahima n mr nick went 2 buy some misc stuff(biscuits)

but halfway rahima's leg started getting painful

so she wen up

the shop we went to was just below our dorm

the silly things we did instead of going bac up to dorm to start studying...!

Day 29

BORING DAY!

did nth much today tat is worth mentioning!

the sun was super hot 2day (for like 3hours before it turned cold once more)

after which we wen to the bubble tea shop to

study study study!

but some idiot decided to light up a cigraette n totally spoil our mood

i appreciate singapore so much more!

i wish i can go bac singapore

i think i have inhaled my entire lifetime of second hand smoke in the past 4 weeks

n i hate it

i bloody hate the smoke smell!

we had a nice IS lesson!

it was a good lesson

Day 27

EMEI SHAN!!

it was super cold as usual

we took a cable car ride

where abt 50 ppl were squeezed inside it!

thank god it was only 4 abt 3mins 

rahima waited with our tour guide (linda) below at the foot of the mountain

our tour guide was the best so far

coz she was very fluent in her eng!

awesome tour guide! ;)

we wen up to this place where the tradition is to padlock on the railing

like wish for something than lock the padlock to the railing

we were doing jumpshots!!

than we had a really bad bad lunch 

n went to see more mountains/temple

we took a real cable car this time round :)

once at the top instead of praying look at wat we were doing.. LOL

it was a 5.5km walk down from the mountain

but coz rahima's leg is injured; mr cheah n mr nick arranged for rahima to be carried down

after the 1hr plus hike down, we wen to have dinner at chengdu n reached campus arnd 11

we were to tired!

but it was a good weekend

common test is on the friday

Day 26

Leshan Giant Buddha!

we wen 2 c the giant giant buddha!

mr nick bought rahima a walking stick

but its really hard 2 get a feel of it

its not easy using a walking stick!

but rahima's leg started 2 swell up so in the end ze hao stayed behind with her at a teahouse at the entrance

coz ze hao's been to the attraction before

soo nice of him!

here is rahima being helped by chang ze hao n leonard(the cause of concern)

it was raining which kinda killed the mood!

after tat we went to this musum n we tried this congealed tofu
it was super spicy
it warmed me up well

the weather has been sooo cold the pass few days
i was totally wearing like 5 layers of clothes
n still i was so bloody cold!
my fingers were frozen Popsicles!

after tat we had dinner n watched a show
look at KJ piggy backing rahima coz her leg was hurting

i am so touched by the guys in my class(esp kj n zh)
they r so nice ppl!
so caring n thoughtful!

that night we stayed at a hotel!
the toilet was damn open concept!
like if i wanna c rahima bathe all i gotta do is stand up
n i can c her naked!
but a hotel is still a hotel!
shiok warm bed n nice ambiance n carpeted floor ;)

anyways at our 2nd pit stop, we met the other group of ngee ann students
they r the ECE students who are in China as well
anyways one of the girls there had adopted 3 puppies coz the old man was gonna throw them away
so they bought those 3 cuties for 15rmb!

they spent their money on de-ticking, buying shampoo, food n everything
they have had them for abt a week
their names : Milo, Milkshake & Coffee
so cute right!

Day 25

rahima just posted the video we did of her being stuck in the toilet

i ended up giving the doggie 2 pieces of ze hao's cookie!

so nurse malcom is coming over 2 our room 2mr at 7am to help rahima bandage!

Day 24

Rahima got stuck in the toilet! OMG!

poor thing from 10am till 12.52pm!

we came bac for lunch n found out tat she was stuck in the toilet

we shot a video of the guy(handyman) trying 2 release rahima from the toilet

oh n just now i saw my lappie showing me a alert saying i got trojan
so i did a full scan n it found 9risks!

according to the lappie there is 2 virus still left alone

Day 23

rahima's leg look soooo much better!

its no longer swollen

hoepfully she is all well so we can climb the Er Mei mountain!!

get well soon roomie! :)

i know it might look disgusting but at least a scab has started to form n her leg is not swollen!

so during lunch we(XuEn, Me, Kj, Zh) came bac to hav lunch w rahima in the room

n we decided to just stay in the room n do our lab (which is some software thingy) and our last quiz!

we r trying 2 figure out the answer for the quiz!

XuEn was really sweet n bought this Lipton Tea(Yam Flavor) for us girls

it was damn delicious n it is like cup noodle!

like there is this 3in1 powder + nata de coco + straw inside the cup

damn cool n damn nice!
